What is Bee Pollen?
In its original state, bee pollen is a fine powder composed of thousands
of microscopic particles which are discharged from the anther of a flower.
Pollen is a major food source for the bees and the worker bees travel from
flower to flower collecting pollen in special baskets on their legs. Worker
bees collect more than the hive needs, so beekeepers have devised screens to
scrape off some pollen as the bees enter the hive.
